Graham at One Month.
Even though I'm a little late, I wanted to share photos of Graham at one month old. These monthly posts of Graham are mainly so we can remember Graham's first year so I apologize in advance if you find them monotonous.
Graham, happy one month on earth. You weigh 8 lbs 6 oz and are 21.5 inches long. You are very expressive, love to make grunting and gurgling sounds, kick your legs, move your arms, and take in this big new world around you with intensely wide eyes. We've been attempting to master breastfeeding which on some days feel so complicated and time consuming. This month feedings occurred every 1-2 hours during the day and every 3-4 hours at night. I love how you reflexively smile after every feeding, in your sleep, or when you open your eyes after you've had a nice long rest. Sometimes you even give us your best attempt at a laugh which makes me feel like you are filled with so much joy. You cried a lot the first few weeks of life because you couldn't digest mom's morning coffee (which I have since gave up) and caused you to spend way too much time fighting sleep. When you would finally give in it was usually because you were falling asleep on my chest. You spent hours in your superman hold (pictured below) which helped you feel better when you were feeling gassy. Daddy and I cheered over every poop which was always preceded by a very quiet Graham with a concentrated expression. You looooove baths, your pacifier, and our daily hangs outside. I've convinced myself that you love the camera. You accept tummy time for now and even accidentally rolled over twice! You're killing it Graham, I love you so, so much.
